It was the usual coffee shop YUGA used to chill himself with hot coffee. The divine calendar pointed May 25,2017 and the pendulum clock ticked 5:35 PM and the stereo tuned to "25 mins too late". A gorgeous girl walked down the street, entered the coffee shop and sat few tables away from Yuga. It was indeed a love at first sight. The hormonal imbalance the beauty of the woman created in Yuga's mind was beyond emotions and boundless. He got smitten by an indescribable aura. His descriptions of her beauty must have infinite hyperbole. But being a sensible nerd in specs, he had a clear vision that it won't work. Yuga's clear detective vision from his dusty specs told that she's waiting for someone important and that person being late she's frustrated
It's 6:00 PM, a man enters shop. An argument breaks in as soon as they start, SPLASH...! She threw the water from the glass and BREAK..! She broke it down and left the coffee shop. Yuga felt that, if his not-so-confident mind was confident enough to take some guts to speak with her, they'd have exited the cafe as friends despite the heartbreak. It entered Yuga's diary just as an event of regret.
The calendar at coffee shop moves back to April 25,2017 and the clock ticked at 5:35 pm. Yuga was reading a book on "Particulate Physics". A girl entered the same cafe. Her face was too familiar that Yuga felt an aura of pre-birth connection with that girl. And more to his surprise that girl walks to Yuga's table and sits just opposite to him. A moment of silence in the cafe. All the tables being empty, it was a shock no only for Yuga but also for the bony barista. Breaking the ice, the girl makes the first conversation about the God Particle. Yuga is irresistable when it comes for discussion on Physics. The Nerd himself got friendly with the stranger. The girl introduces herself as GAIA and she was working at "CHRONIS TITMAN time ltd." Their discussions grew stronger and so does their friendship. They entered the cafe as strangers and exited by 6:00 PM as friends.
They met eventually, initially weekly finally daily. They are not more than friends though the chemistry between them worked fabulous. They discussed everything. Just everything. He revealed his darkest fear of initiating a conversation with a girl. She revealed that she hid her deepest secrets in diary under her pillow. Their bond grew stronger than the catenation of carbon. She promised her new friend that she'll reveal her deepest secret when the former would overcome his darkest fear. It was a genuine gentlemen agreement with a woman for Yuga.
They met everyday and conversed a lot. Eventually Yuga theoretically gained confidence to initiate a conversation with a girl without his usual nerdy appeal. Yuga wasn't actually nerdy, he was just smarter than the lot. Yet relatively less attractive. And Gaia knew it and was confident of his friend. She changed everything. Gaia had a lion's share influencing everything in Yuga, right from his dressing to the attitude he projects with the opposite person. It was a slow yet steady transition period for Yuga's outlook which had no resemblance from his previous one.
Contact lenses replaced the nerdy spectacles. Trendy denim jeans replaced his usual formal pants. Fast Track replaced his wrist with an old HMT. Reebok replaced his untidy slippers. After all , it's not that the brand values or the richness could attract a girl. But the inner self of a man. Yet these costly coverings were just to boost the confidence of our protagonist and not to demean the women psychology. Now Yuga transformed into that so called 'one-song-life-changes-to-big hero' kind of thing. The transformation was unbelivable. He became confident right from his walk to talk.
Now it was time for the practicals. He was well dressed physically yet mentally a feeling of quagmire was huge on his mind. He thought he's gonna land in deep waters hearing Gaia. How can he give out a shot on a women who he never saw in his entire lifetime. Will it work? Was he doing everything right? Is it correct to do things like these? Questions puzzled his logical not-now-nerdy brain with illogical scenarios. Yet a greedy curiosity to test his abilities made up his mind to try once.
Gaia and Yuga met at their usual hangout spot. It was May 25,2017 on the calendar and the clock ticked 5:30 PM where Gaia wished all the best to Yuga promising that a girl who enters the cafe in 5 minutes will be his first, maybe the last or the only practical in his life.
It's 5:35 PM on the clock."25 minutes too late" starts to play. A gorgeous girl walks down the street enters the cafe and occupies a seat few tables away from Yuga. Yes, it was the same girl in the intro. He was smitten by an indescribable aura. His hormonal imbalance knew no bounds. But this time he gathers his guts and walks to her and says "Hi...!" and the rest is history.
The clock moves to 6:00 PM. They exit the cafe together and the closing door of the cafe indicated "City of STARS" playing in the stereo. He learnt from her that she was SANKALPA. She was there to warn her friend's boyfriend not to cheat on her. And most importantly, " She's SINGLE...!" The nerdy ROMEO exhibited his month of training from Gaia and showcased all possible skills with gorgeous Sankalpa. Their relationship grew stronger than inter-atomic forces. Oops being nerdy again.
He revealed his true face in reality. Yet it didn't make each other distant. She accepted him as it is. And they lived happy forever...
WAIT..! WAIT...! It's not over. Wouldn't it be too mean if Yuga didn't meet Gaia and thank her.
Yes, as per your predictions Gaia was missing from May 25,2017 after the coffee shop incident. Yuga searched her in all possible places. He went to "Chronis Titman ltd" yet he couldn't find where it is. Finally, it was her residence. Yuga rushed to her apartment one day.
It was OPEN when he reached to the door. He entered the empty apartment and his detective vision explained the ground reality which had no evidence of existence of a women. It was empty. He searched everwhere. The Kitchen seems to be used before a month and not even once in the recent time. He entered the bed room.
He then remembered Gaia saying, " I would reveal you my deepest secret which I used to hide it below my pillow in the bedroom if you overcome your darkest fear..."
He explored the bedroom. He saw a pillow and underneath it was a "DIARY OF 2045". The bedazzled and shocked Yuga with a flood level curiosity opened the diary which was almost surrealistic to him . Of course a Diary which is 28 years ahead of the present is not a joke.
The Personal Data showed the name " Gaia" and father's name was "YUGA". He was enthralled horrifyingly seeing his name as Gaia's father. Appalled by the first page mystery, he turns the page to read it. He learns that he has grown old. Married some other women and not Sankalpa. He lost his wife in the future during pregnancy, He was a good husband yet a better father. He raised his daughter in an exemplary manner. Gaia was a doctorate in "TIME TRAVEL ANALYSIS and TIME LAPSE IN SPACIAL DIMENSIONS". He was so proud of his daughter as his efforts of 28 years. And in return Gaia was very proud of his father that she'll mention him in all possible award functions and interviews. She designed an "One Way Time Travelling Machine" in 2045. And later learned that her company, "CHRONIS TITMAN LTD" wanted to sell it for anti-social activities. And her life is at danger.
She plans to destroy it. But before it, she accidentally hid in the basement to save her life one day where she found her dad's (i.e) Yuga's diaries. Before she gets killed and the machine gets stolen, she wanted to do something for her dad. She finds her dad's love at first sight on May 25,2017.
She decides to give her DAD YUGA a "RETAKE" on his life. She travel's a month back. She knew her dad very well than anyone else. It wasn't difficult for her to make friendship with his dad at the "Retake Nostalgia Cafe" She executed her plan well. Saw her daddy happy with his dream girl. And when Yuga proposed Sankalpa, she was watching from the street corner near CHRONIS clock at park which showed 6:00 PM as " TIME UP...!"
Tears welled up her eyes seeing her daddy who sacrificed many for her being HAPPY. When a tiny drop of her tear fell to the ground between her foot, she disappeared into DUST...
She knew that she'll not be in the future if her dad marries his dream girl. She knew she'll never exist in the future. Yet her unconditional love for her father made her do this sacrifice. When Yuga came to know this, he was literally in tears to know the sacrifice of her daughter in the future. He was moved up heavily. Overwhelmed by his daughter in the future, he decided to marry Sankalpa.
And after an year, May 25, 2018. They were blessed with a PRINCESS. Without doubt or a question Yuga names her daughter "GAIA" - the world of Yuga. She's his earth personified and a reason for his present happy life.
Yuga's RETAKE on his LIFE was directed by Gaia's sacrifice. It's an unconditional dad-daughter bond which will continue forever...
